A satoshi is the smallest unit of Bitcoin! Named after Bitcoin's creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, one Satoshi (Sat) equals 0.00000001 Bitcoin (BTC).

Ember shows your balances in both Bitcoin and Sats! For example, if you have 0.001 BTC, you have 100,000 Sats. This makes it easy to handle small and precise transactions. In short, Satoshis make Bitcoin more practical and accessible for everyday use, regardless of the amount you're dealing with.

If you're trying to get a general conversion of Sats to USD, feel free to check out this quick conversion tool from Kraken: https://www.kraken.com/learn/satoshi-to-usd-converter!
