As of November 24th, 2025, we’re officially winding down all free tournaments. There aren’t plans to re-introduce free tournaments at this time.
Why are free tournaments going away?
Free tournaments were entirely supported by ad revenue. Since Ember is shifting away from ads to create a more premium, streamlined experience, these free events will be removed moving forward. They also tended to attract low-quality participation and bot activity, which negatively impacted the experience for genuine players.
What’s staying?
All paid tournaments will continue to run. These offer bigger rewards, better competition, and a cleaner gameplay experience without ads. We’re actively working on new ways to make paid tournaments more fun and engaging too.
