We’re excited to announce that Ember users can now use Breeze Crypto — the crypto-friendly version of our Breeze payment system — to handle deposits and withdrawals in USDC!
What is Breeze Crypto?
Breeze Crypto is a new payment option that allows you to deposit and withdraw using crypto instead of traditional bank transfers. It’s powered by the same trusted provider, Breeze, and offers a smooth, secure, and on-chain experience for US users who prefer staying in crypto.
With Breeze Crypto, you can:
Deposit using USDC, USDT, DAI on supported networks (Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, Arbitrum, and Optimism)
Withdraw your rewards in USDC directly to your crypto wallet
Keep your funds fully on-chain — no need for a linked bank account
How it works
When you go to deposit in Ember, you’ll now see two options:
Breeze (Bank) — for card or ACH transfers
Breeze Crypto — for stablecoin on-chain deposits and withdrawals
Here’s how the system works behind the scenes:
If your balance is $0, you can choose whether to deposit using Card/Bank (ACH) or Crypto (USDC).
Once you’ve made your first deposit, your account is locked in to that payment type:
If you deposit with a card, your future withdrawals must go to your bank account.
If you deposit with crypto, your future withdrawals must go out as USDC
To switch payment types, you’ll just need to clear your balance to $0 first — then you’ll be free to choose a different deposit method.
Why the separation?
This setup helps keep deposits and withdrawals fast, compliant, and secure. It also ensures that every user’s funds move through the payment rails (either fully on-chain or fully through traditional banking) of their choice!
Supported networks
Breeze Crypto currently supports USDC withdrawals on:
Ethereum
Solana
Polygon
Arbitrum
Optimism
FAQ
Can I switch from Breeze (Bank) to Breeze Crypto?
Yes — but you’ll need to clear your balance to $0 first. Once your balance is cleared, you can choose a new payment method (bank or crypto) for your next deposit.
Can I use both card and crypto at the same time?
No. Each account can only use one payment type at a time to ensure secure and compliant fund flows.
How long do USDC withdrawals take?
Most USDC withdrawals are processed within a few minutes, though times may vary depending on the network and wallet you use.
Are there any fees for crypto withdrawals?
Network (gas) fees may apply depending on the blockchain you select.
Will BTC withdrawals ever come back?
Not for US users at this time. Breeze Crypto currently supports withdrawals with USDC only. We’ll share updates if that changes in the future.
