If you’re experiencing issues selling your portfolio in Ember, it may be due to one of two reasons:
One of the coins in your portfolio has fallen below the exchange minimum.
There isn’t enough ETH in your wallet to cover transaction fees and broadcast the transaction.
In these cases, you can transfer your coins directly from Ember via our wallet partner, Edge, to an external wallet or exchange. Below are the steps to do this:
Step 1: Download and Log In to Edge Wallet
Download the "Edge - Crypto & Bitcoin Wallet" app from your app store.
Log in to Edge using the same credentials you use for Ember.
Step 2: View Your Portfolio Assets in Edge
Once logged into Edge, go to the "Assets" page to view the individual crypto assets in your portfolio.
Here, you’ll see each asset that makes up your Ember portfolio.
PLEASE NOTE: You'll need ETH to cover gas fees, so it's best to keep this until you're done transferring all of your other assets out.
We recommend sorting your Wallets by "highest value" to make it easier to view your assets!
In Edge, some ERC-20 tokens may not be visible by default. If you’re missing any tokens, follow these steps to reveal them: Click here for detailed instructions on adding custom tokens.
Step 3: Transfer or Sell your Assets
Next, we'll show you how to transfer your assets out of Edge. There is also an option to sell select assets directly in Edge if you'd like.
Select the asset you’d like to transfer out of Edge, or sell.
Tap on the "Send" button.
Enter, scan, or paste the receiving address from your exchange/wallet or choice.
Enter the amount you'd like to send.
If you'd like, you can adjust the network fee.
Slide to confirm your transfer!
If you'd like to sell your assets directly in Edge, you can tap on the "Trade" button instead of "Send". Please note that only some tokens are accepted, and all options will incur fees.
Step 4: Notify Ember Support of Your Transfers
Once you’ve successfully transferred your crypto assets out of Edge, please let us know which assets you moved so we can update your portfolio on our end accordingly. Not doing so will cause issues with your Ember account moving forward!
